Fruit and Cream Oatmeal Masque for Dull, Devitalized Skin
A few strawberries pureed or mashed
½ cup uncooked whole oats
1 tbs. honey
2 tbs. whole milk
Mix ingredients and apply. Massage for 2 minutes then let sit for 8 more.
- Strawberries contain fruit acids and Vitamin C, lightly
exfoliating and brightening.
- Whole
oats mildly exfoliate while calming irritation.
- Honey is anti-bacterial and purifying.
- Whole milk contains lactic acid, a natural peeling agent.
Clarifying Masque for Oily, Acne Prone Skin
3 tbs. aloe vera gel
1 crushed aspirin tablet
1 drop lavender oil or tea tree oil.
Mix ingredients and apply. Let sit for 10 minutes. For a spot treatment, add enough baking soda to make a paste, apply to blemish and leave overnight.
- Aloe vera gel calms irritation and nixes bacteria.
- Aspirin contains salicylic acid, which exfoliated and clears clogged pores.
- Lavender and tea tree are both natural anti-bacterial oils.
- Baking soda is extremely alkaline and normalizes overly acidic acneic skin.
Comforting Masque for Dry, Itchy, Irritated Skin
½ cup uncooked whole oats
1 cup plain yogurt
Mix ingredients, apply and leave on for 15 minutes.
- Whole oats calm inflammation.
- Yogurt moisturizes and exfoliates with lactic acid while restoring natural balance to the skin.
Tightening Masque for Fine Lines and Wrinkles (So simple!)
egg white from one large egg
a squirt of lemon juice
Mix ingredients, apply to face in a smooth layer and let sit for 20 mins.
- Egg whites contain albumin, which tightens pores and saggy skin for an instant face-lift.
- Lemon lightens pigmented sun-damaged skin.
I am going to try the one for fine lines and wrinkles... keeping my fingers crossed lol.
